Asterisk is the world’s leading open source telephony engine and tool kit. Yet there is currently no Asterisk port available in MacPorts (MacPorts provides an infrastructure for building, installing, and packaging open source software on Mac OS-X). This has to change. MacPorts.info is the leading MacPorts tutorial site that is establishing this bounty to fund the development of an Asterisk port.

Is it possible to install the port with macports at this time? Would seem not ...?

Who is going to build this? Is it like a reverse dutch auction where, once the price/prize is high enough, someone will step in and say "Hey, I'll build that"?
